We had just moved house and our space was feeling bare and unhomely. So, our first project with Rebecca was to choose some key pieces that worked well with what we already had but which brought the home to life and gave it the comfort and cosiness that it really needed. Rebecca was brilliant at helping us see the potential in the space and making sense of the many decisions involved. She introduced colours (drawn from a painting we have) that we would never have thought of ourselves, while still making sure that everything felt true to our taste and the way we live. We were really impressed with Rebecca’s work so we subsequently asked her to help us with our daughter’s bedroom. Rebecca took the time to visit us and speak with our daughter at length, she put much care and thought into listening to our daughter's many requests (even space for her football team memorabilia!), to understand her personality, interests and ideas, and then translate all of that into a space that is just right for her. Our daughter now has lots of storage space with new joinery and shelving in the room, a colour scheme that will last her through the teenage years and beyond, space for sleepovers, a space for all her sports medals and trophies, and a lamp to match her favourite football team colours! The result is a room that is beautiful and fun, but also incredibly thoughtful and practical — and one that our daughter loves and now spends a lot of time in. Rebecca always takes on board what you say — and, even when you aren’t quite sure yourself what you are looking for, she can turn it into something far better than you could have articulated. On top of all that, Rebecca is an absolute pleasure to work with: warm, thoughtful, creative, patient and incredibly professional. We always felt that she genuinely cared about getting the result right for us, rather than simply imposing her own ideas. We did a loft renovation and refreshed some of our existing rooms. Rebecca was excellent at coming up with interior designs to suit our design brief and then produced great visuals, which really helped us to better understand how the space would look. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Rebecca through Houzz. We are the opposite of creative people and put off the task of modernising parts of our home for several months as it felt too stressful. Up stepped Rebecca who created our new lounge, nursery, and master bedroom - she took all the stress away and we couldn't be happier with the results!
